The waitlist for our Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is currently estimated to be 3-4 years. This program, also widely recognized as Section 8, serves over 1,400 families in Yamhill County by providing rental assistance to those whose income does not exceed 50% of the area median income.

Family Self-Sufficiency Program

The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a voluntary, five-year initiative available to qualified households participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program. For more information, visit FSS Program Details.

Participants receive individualized support and assistance, entering into a participant agreement with HAYC and developing a goal plan with the help of FSS Coordinators. This plan outlines specific activities and services aimed at achieving self-sufficiency.
